The Eat Out to Help Out scheme has launched today, giving diners the chance to score 50% off their bill in restaurants, cafes, and pubs across the country.
The discount – which is capped at £10 per person – will be applied to eat in food orders in participating venues on Mondays to Wednesdays throughout August.
The list of 72,000 participating venues caters to all palates and features a selection of 45 Michelin star eateries as well as the nation’s high street (or late night) favourites, such as McDonald’s.
Are high-street fixtures Subway, KFC, and Burger King participating too? And how much will a meal set you back?
Subway
Subway is participating in the scheme, meaning you can bag a half-price sub on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, providing you dine in.
Find out if your nearest branch is taking part via the postcode checker on gov.uk.
Prices depend on what fillings you go for but six-inch sandwiches will start at £1.50.
KFC
The ubiquitous chicken chain is also taking part in the scheme, offering its six-piece bargain bucket for just £6.95.
You can also grab regular popcorn chicken for £2, or a Zinger Tower Box meal for just £4.35.
Once again, the discount is only applicable if you eat in.
You can find a list of participating branches on the KFC website.
Burger King
Fast-food giant Burger King is also taking part in the scheme, offering a medium Whopper meal for just £3.25.
If you just want the burger, that will set you back £2.25, with The Mirror reporting that you can get the chain’s flagship burger – or Chicken Royale – on their app for £1.
The discount will be applied to dine-in orders from most of the chain’s restaurants – find out more on the Burger King website.
If you prefer something healthier when you’re on the go, Pret a Manger are also participating in the promotion, meaning you’ll be able to grab a salad or sandwich at a reduced price.
Benugo, Bills, Cafe Nero, Eat, Leon, Prezzo and Nando’s are also participating in the scheme.
