An adorable toddler is dressing up as a different key worker every Thursday in order to clap in gratitude with the rest of the nation.

Two year old Eliza Stonebank has rocked her adorable dress-up outfits, including a nurse, surgeon, paramedic, doctor and even a supermarket worker complete with a tiny trolley.

She’s even got involved with the percussion trend, clanging her toy pot from her Ikea play kitchen.

Mum Natalie, who lives in Darcy Lever, has helped by creating the adorable costumes for Eliza. For the supermarket worker look, Natalie borrowed eight-year-old son Oliver’s school jumper to recreate a Sainsbury’s uniform. Staff at the local store even donated one of their tabards, which Natalie cut down to fit her daughter.

The family has been inspired by Eliza’s grandmother, Natalie’s mother, Sharon France, who works as a hospice nurse. Now Eliza wants to show some love to every kind of key worker for their incredible contribution during this pandemic.

As well as enjoying dressing up, Eliza also loves that she gets to stay up past her bedtime on Thursday evenings to take part in the clap with her older siblings.

‘She usually goes to bed at 7 pm so it has become a thing for her, staying up late,’ says Natalie.

‘She’ll go and get her pans out of the kitchen to bang and she loves looking out for the fireworks.’

Natalie adds that Eliza has always loved dressing up.

‘The first one we did, she dressed up as a nurse in Imogen’s costume from when she was little,’ she says.

‘My mum is a nurse at the Bolton Hospice so she was really dressed up as my mum the first week.’

The family’s efforts have impressed staff at the Royal Bolton Hospital who posted their video, commenting: ‘Thanks for making us smile.’
