If you’ve ever tried to take sexy pictures of your feet, you’ll understand the struggle.
It’s hard to get the angle, lighting, and pose right if you’re doing it yourself, whether it’s to send to a partner, to sell to a client, or just for your own enjoyment.
But if you have the funds, you could always get a professional feet photographer to do the job.
John James takes pictures of people’s feet for a living and has grown a fan base of people who enjoy the intimate shots.
The photographer from Wembley works with models for the shoots as well as providing advice on sales and marketing for his business.
John tells Metro.co.uk: ‘I meet models in everyday life out and about, sometimes on Instagram and sometimes through friends or models I’ve worked with.
‘I got into this because I have been doing photography since college and feel I can provide a good service to both fans and followers.’
John either sells his pictures to those offering to buy them or sells the rights to the models so they can make money from their feet.
His portfolio consists of a variety of feet: some have colourful toenails, some are oiled, tattooed, stretched, or adorned with jewellery.
Though it’s a business for John, he says he also takes personal enjoyment in feet and is delighted to be able to turn them into a career.
‘What’s good about my job is that I get to create lots of different designs and edit,’ he says.
‘I get to make money while doing something that I enjoy and I’m able to meet and work with some amazing women from all walks of life.’
But the gig comes with reservations from some people.
John adds: ‘Some people have reacted weirdly when they come across my Instagram, which is understandable because not everyone likes feet.
‘I have found there does tend to be a stigma around feet as a lot of people have had only negative experiences from being around them, for example, smelly feet, bunions, really short stubby nails, I could go on.
‘However, there are those that are really enlightened and intrigued by my page and don’t have a fetish but simply enjoy the artwork.’
