Lidl launches plant range that starts from just £1.49

If you want to create your very own lockdown jungle at home but don’t have a lot of money to play with, you’re in luck.

Lidl has just released a new flowers and plant range for anyone looking to decorate their home with greenery – and it’s very affordable.

The collection, which starts from £1.49, features both indoor and outdoor plants.

Choose from perennials (£2.79) such as Snapdragons, Sweet Williams and Larkspur or support the bees with a bug-friendly red and orange biden (£1.89).

There is also Acer plants (£6.99) including Atropurpureum, Emerald Lace and Orange Dream, and flowers such as English lavender (£2.79) and British Geranium (£2.49).

The most expensive item in the range is the peonies, which comes in at £7.99.

For those who prefer sustainable shopping, Lidl is also selling bedding plants delivered in plastic-free trays. (£2.99).

Looking for something specific?

In other green news, garden centres across the UK have opened their doors to customers once again, following prime minister Boris Johnson’s speech last Sunday (10 May).

You can visit one of Dobbies’ many stores or pick up a plant when you swing by Homebase.

However, if you don’t want to leave your home, you can still order greenery online from places like the Royal Horticultural Society, Patch and Squires, among others.
