With the weather getting warmer, we are approaching prime iced-coffee-time.

While treating yourself to a professionally made iced coffee is one of life’s great joys, luckily for us, there are loads of different ways to make chilly caffinated beverages at home.

We’ve put together a list of delicious iced coffee recipes that you can make whenever you want, so sit back, relax and pick your favourites to try.

How to make iced coffee

The viral one

Not long ago, a viral TikTok video showing an iced coffee recipe made the rounds, so we gave it a try to see if it was worth the hype.

The ingredients and method are pretty simple and, even better, we can report that it is indeed a tasty beverage.

All you need to make it is instant coffee, sugar, hot water, milk and ice.

While there are no specific measurements available to go with the video, we tried adding one tablespoon of boiling water to one tablespoon of instant coffee and granulated sugar.

Then we whisked these together until the mixture had a Nutella-like consistency.

After that, add the mixture to an iced glass of milk as big and as icy as you like, stir together and voila! You’ve got yourself some creamy iced coffee.

The Greek frappe

For this one, you’ll need a cocktail shaker or a container with a very tight lid.

Put your preferred amount of instant coffee and sugar in the shaker along with one tablespoon of cold water.

Shake it until it’s foamy – this should take around 30 seconds.

Then pour the mixture into a glass with ice and add milk if that’s what you’re into. If you have evaporated milk on hand, even better.

The humble iced latte

Along with ice, this recipe calls for coffee, milk, and sugar or sweeteners if that’s how you like your lattes.

Put as much coffee as you prefer into your glass, and fill up with around two-fingers in height of boiling water along with your choice of sweetener.

Fill your glass up with as much ice as will fit and give it a stir to cool the coffee down, before topping up with cold milk of any kind.

If you have ice moulds, you can even make coffee ice cubes so that your latte won’t dillute when the ice melts.

The chocolatey one

This one’s for anyone who’s got a sweet tooth and a blender to hand.

Add a cup of cold milk, two tablespoons of your favourite chocolate spread, a tablespoon of instant coffee, and half a teaspoon of vanilla extract if you’re fancy.

You can also add sugar or sweetener to taste.

Then all you need to do is blend it until the mixture is frothy.

This one works well served over ice or ice cream.

The Vietnamese method

If you have condensed milk on hand, all you need to do is mix it with coffee to taste and serve it over ice cubes.

Jaden Hair, TV chef and award-winning food blogger at Steamy Kitchen, previously told us that you should not switch condensed milk for evaporated milk because this recipe should result in an iced drink that’s sweet, sticky and thick.
