You’re craving McDonald’s, aren’t you?

Humans are wired to just want things they can’t have. And since McDonald’s announced closure of its stores in the UK amid the coronavirus lockdown, we’re missing it terribly.

Some people have even started making dupes of their fave Maccas items at home.

One woman has kindly shared her recipe to create the perfect Oreo McFlurry at home, using just three ingredients.

Cha Sampa,n from the Philippines, came up with her own McDonald’s hack two years ago but since the lockdown means we can no longer grab our usual treats, her Facebook post is doing the rounds again.

She shared her cookies and cream recipe with her followers with instructions on how people could make it at home.

To make your own McFlurry you’ll need 250ml of all-purpose cream, which can be any brand you want, 216ml of condensed milk and of course, Oreos – six, to be precise.

Start by placing the Oreo biscuits in a sandwich bag and then using a rolling pin, crush them up till they’re fine.

In a separate container, combine the all purpose cream and half of the condensed milk.

Taste the mixture – add the remaining condensed milk if it’s not sweet enough.

Add the crushed Oreos to the cream mixture, and mix in well.

Place in the freezer for 4-5 hours until the mixture is set. Avoid opening the freezer door and letting air in.

Once it’s ready, use a spoon to scoop out the mixture and place it into a bowl.

Add a whole Oreo cookie (or more) to serve. And enjoy.

If you fancy a similar taste but can’t be bothered to do all that, you could always just buy cookies and cream ice cream and garnish it with an Oreo.

It might not be a McFlurry but it’s still delicious.
