Coronavirus has forced plenty of workers to stay at home, shutting schools and churches and changing the opening hours of shops up and down the country.
One group of key workers often left off the list when it comes to giving our thanks – as we’ve seen with ‘Clap for Carers’ for example – are the posties.
They deliver mail come rain, shine or global pandemic – but will there be post this Easter bank holiday?
Does post get delivered over Easter?
Royal Mail workers deliver letters and parcels six days a week, Monday to Saturday, throughout the year.
The only exception to this is on bank holidays, where there are no deliveries or collections and the post offices will be closed.
This means there will be a normal delivery service today, Saturday 11 April but no deliveries or collections from on Sunday 12 April and 13 April, Easter Monday.
Depots and collection units will also be closed on these days in case you wanted to go and pick up a missed delivery or collect a parcel.
Normal service will resume across all deliveries and collections on Tuesday 14 April.
