Over the past week or two, attractions around the world have moved online to accommodate those in quarantine, from zoos setting up webcams to museums offering virtual guides, but now there’s a Harry Potter-themed tour to get excited about.

Thanks to a video by UndercoverTourist.com – which is available to watch on YouTube – muggles can take a trip around Hogwarts from the comfort of their own sofa.

It’s offering the chance for Potterheads to virtually visit the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride at Universal Studios in the U.S. The video takes visitors through the entire experience – even waiting in the queue.

They’ll get a chance to visit Dumbledore in his office, watch the paintings talk, enter the Defence Against The Dark Arts classroom as well as the herbology lab and the Room of Requirement.

During the virtual broomstick ride around the famous fictional venue, visitors will come face to face with a fire-breathing dragon and encounter some familiar faces (Ron, Hermione, and Hagrid, obviously). The trip finishes with a quick stop-off at the gift shop.

Those less keen on Harry Potter, will find a whole host of Disney rides available online, too.

YouTube is home to virtual experiences of other world-famous attractions, such as the It’s A Small World boat ride and the exhilarating Space Mountain – all recorded from a passenger’s point of view.

In other virtual news, anyone looking to have a pint with friends can log onto The Corona Arms – an online boozer which, of course, operates a BYOB policy and runs pub quizzes.

Slightly further afield, an Italian Nonna has launched virtual pasta-making classes for people in lockdown.
