With couples unable to go out for date night during the coronavirus lockdown, they’re finding more inventive ways to spend time together at home.

Jeffery ‘Butta’ Johnson decided that if he couldn’t take his wife to a restaurant for dinner, he would bring the restaurant to her.

He created Quarantine Grill, typed up a menu and got to work preparing all the dishes.

Jeffery, from Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a completely self-taught cook and said he learns by trial and error.

For the meal, he made an appetizer of jumbo lump crab cake with a spicy remoulade sauce.

The entrée was cajun stuffed salmon, which was filled with grilled shrimp asparagus and parmesan cheese, topped with a lemon slice and scallions (that’s spring onions in the UK).

It was all served with garlic herb mashed potatoes, sautéed collard greens and spicy andouille sausage.

For dessert, they had strawberry cheese cake topped with fresh strawberries.

It all sounds delicious, right?

The menu came with an added note at the end to tell her all the the dishes were prepared by her husband.

Jeffery posted pictures of the amazing meal on Twitter and people loved it.

The post had over 286,00 likes and 40,000 retweets.

Some people even thought he’s taken her to a real restaurant.

One person said: ‘I’m going to have to borrow your idea lol.’

Another added: ‘Are you looking to adopt but only during dinner time?’

But most importantly, he said his wife loved the meal.

Jeffery is now offering to send the recipes to people for a small fee and is even putting together a cookbook.
