With the UK having been placed into lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, we’re all going to be spending a lot more time at home in the coming weeks.
And you might also be thinking about how to keep younger members of the family entertained outside of those homeschooling hours – be it with games, crafts or other activities.
One thing you could try doing – if you’ve not done it before – is making your own playdough (given you might not be able to get your hands on the real thing at the moment).

Here’s how you can make your own playdough from a few simple items:

Ingredients
250g plain flour
140ml water
50g salt
1-2 tablespoons cooking oil
few drops of food colouring
Method
Mix the flour and salt in a mixing bowl and add the water and oil
Knead well for about 10 mins until the mixture is smooth. Add more water or flour if necessary
Add food colouring and knead until it is blended
Store in a plastic bag in the fridge until it is properly chilled
