Colin the Caterpillar is the mascot of every office birthday.
But the M&S icon has had a makeover for Easter and people aren’t as taken with his new look.
Easter bunny Colin features ears and buck teeth but some fans aren’t impressed with one saying it is ‘the most disturbing thing they’ve ever seen’.
The cake, which costs £10, is now on sale for the supermarket’s seasonal range, but will sit alongside the original Colin and Connie cakes, which cost £7.
A photo of the cake was shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page and it got thousands of likes and 11,000 comments.
Some compared it to the scary bunny from the Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Were-Rabbit film.
‘Most disturbing looking bunny I’ve ever seen!’ penned one, while a second agreed: ‘It looks possessed and since when has a rabbit had 6 legs… Definitely won’t be buying.’ one person said.
‘They should save it for Halloween, it looks demonic,’ another said.
‘ Really should have had a rethink of the rabbit’s face. That looks awful and scary to some kids! Who agreed to sell this?’ another wrote.
Others said that although it isn’t a looker, it is about the taste at the end of the day.
Someone commented: ‘Looks like a thing of nightmares but I bet it tastes good.’
