A mum-of-two who shared a refreshingly honest post about parenting has called out online trolls.

Caroline Eyles shared a series of photos on her Facebook page, While I Think Of It, showing the realities of half term with two kids.

The 37-year-old hoped her pictures would inspire people to take the ‘perfect lives’ they see on Instagram with a pinch of salt.

Since Metro.co.uk reported on the story earlier this week, Caroline has received backlash for her post. As a result, she’s decided to call out the trolls who made judgments about her online.

Caroline said: ‘Thanks to troll gate city I’m going to add that not one of you judgey mcjudgeys have asked potentially why my house was like this, and that given I innocently posted it on my own personal FB page, chances are it’s not common occurrence.

‘Although quite frankly, if it was (and can be at times despite my daily tidy up in a morning, afternoon and evening efforts) I accept it’s tough with two small children and carry on each day.

‘But – am I slob? Lazy? Interesting.

‘Orrrr….did we put our two small children in bunk beds the evening before this was taken and because they were so excited we assembled it rather late on in the day because it took two trips to collect and thus, didn’t have a chance to clear the other room which we dumped everything because their old beds had under bed storage which we hadn’t yet collected.’

She goes on to explain that her husband had left to collect a new drawer but his car broke down on the way home. He eventually made it home safely later in the evening, but sorting the bedroom was, understandably, not the couple’s priority.

Caroline added: ‘Furthermore, We also rescued a puppy from being slaughtered in Romania just a few days previous, and he appears to find it funny to drag clothes and shoes out of baskets and around the house that I only learnt after school drop off on returning back home with my son on that morning!

‘So forgive for me being rather overwhelmed on a wet, rainy Monday morning when I chose to post to my friends that I was opting to spend the morning with my son and instead potentially do it in the afternoon when he was at pre-school; and it was picked up by the papers, which was as surprising for me as it is you.’

The life coach adds that we should be kinder to each other – something she touched on in her original post.

She said: ‘But for all those who have made judgments upon me, who don’t know me, never met me I would like to commend you on your excellent work on #bekind and highlighting the necessary campaign I am wanting to promote.

‘And for those who have supported me and understood the hectic life with small children, thankyou so much, I couldn’t be more grateful.

‘And so finally – for the love of Caroline Flack people, stop being so God Damn Nasty online????!!!! If it doesn’t resonate with you, just scroll the hell on by……!!!! Enough said. #nooneknowssomeoneelsesstory #bekind.’
