Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your pooch at a doggy brunch

A restaurant in London is celebrating puppy love this Valentine’s, with a special event designed to make dogs fall in love – or at the very least, sniff butts.

Pooches in need of a furry partner to couple up with during cold winter nights are in for a treat on 15 February.

Tails will be wagging at M Restaurant in Victoria as hounds of all shapes, sizes and breeds take over the venue to enjoy a doggy brunch, with a side of romance.

But first, they have to choose their dining partner.

The dogs will be lined up across from each other, with each dog getting the opportunity to meet their budding mates.

If they kiss, sniff or lick each other, the canines will be paired up together for brunch, along with their humans (meaning that you might nab yourself a date, too).

Sadly, there’s no spaghetti on the menu, but pooches can still have their Lady and the Tramp moment over bowls of black pudding granola and bone marrow risotto.

Meanwhile their humans can gorge on buttermilk fried chicken waffles, eggs and peanut butter ice cream and chicken liver on toast, served with capers and onions.

After the meal, the restaurant’s executive chef will host a ‘cook for your fur baby’ masterclass, sharing tips and tricks on how to prepare healthy but delicious dishes for man’s best friend.

The brunch starts at 11am and costs £35 for ‘six legs’ (you and the dog, that is) – however, £5 from each ticket will be donated to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

Don’t have a dog? Just want a regular date without animals?
