With the weather basically refusing to get warm and we have Storm Ciara on the way, you’d be forgiven for wanting to cosy up in the house and hide.
That seems to be the idea one bargain hunter had on a recent trip to B&M, where she bagged herself an amazing deal on a super soft blanket.
The woman – named Kirsty – posted her find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, and others have followed suit.
The super-soft throw from the discount retailer should have cost £14.99, but using the B&M app Kirsty saw that it was actually 50p.
The store’s app is well-known among savvy shoppers, and allows you to scan barcodes in the shop. If the item is scanning at a different price on the app, the store have promised that they’ll sell it to you for the app price.
Often it seems too good to be true, but there have been some massive savings posted online, including this recent one by Kirsty.
She posted a picture of the blanket, saying: ‘Scanning at 50p [from] B&M [in] Imperial Park [in] Bristol.’
The post has garnered hundreds of likes and comments, with many people saying they had found the same deal.
One person said: ‘I got one at £7 and thought it was a bargain, it’s a lovely blanket and so snuggly warm’ while another said, ‘Still like new after buying in October. Really good value for money at the price they were, but 50p, each massive bargain!’
Another person also commented that they’d seen pink and other colours of the same Sherpa throw for 50p.
As with any of these deals, it really is trial and error, and if the item you want isn’t scanning at the low price you want, then that’s that.
However, when these finds come along, you might as well take advantage.
