If you want wedding inspiration or just enjoy looking at breathtaking photos of loved up couples, then we’ve got just the thing for you.
The Belief Wedding Creators, an international community for wedding planners, has recently announced the results of their Belief Awards.
The 12th edition of the biannual international contest looked at submissions from wedding planners in 23 countries.
Only 15 professionals made the final cut. Some of them also submitted more than one wedding (a good way to up their chances of winning).
Some of the stunning shots include a steampunk wedding, an eco-friendly event, LGBTQ unions, and crosscultural affairs.
Giovana Duailibe, CEO of Belief Wedding Creators, says: ‘This edition gathers together wedding creators from different countries that are committed to deliver the best concepts, destinations, and ideas.’
‘One more time we are celebrating real weddings, with real people, with creativity and love.’
Let’s see some of the submissions, shall we?

Elice and Olumide, from the U.S, were glad to be able to fuse their western culture with the West Indian and Yoruba culture.
The couple changed into the traditional Yoruba clothes and Elice’s parents also changed their clothes. This symbolised a welcoming and acceptance into and of a new culture.
Ethical wedding, US
Josh and Bev have a strong connection to the local food movement. Knowing they didn’t want a bunch of gifts, they decided to raise money for charities nearest and dearest to them.
They approached charities and agreed to partner with them to bring local food and servers to the event and in lieu of gifts, raised money amongst their guests toward the work of both Community Farmers Markets and The Giving Kitchen.
Destination wedding, New York
The couple from Portugal chose to get married in New York City because it is the city they love. From the first time they visited New York together, they said, ‘if one day we marry, it will be in New York’.
Cape Town wedding, South Africa
The proposal was very special. The couple planned a trip to Cape Town for November 2018 and Bianca thought that that would be the big moment.
Bennett surprised her, though, and proposed to her at her parent’s house just before the trip.
Colombian and Mexican-inspired wedding, Mexico
They meet in Colombia during a wedding in March, Armando was doing a Masters in Boston and he was invited to come to Colombia by the bride´s cousin.
It was love at first sight. They met again in Mexico in November and they tried to spend every moment together.
Even though their relationship was long-distance, they tried to see each other every month.
Boat wedding, Italy
They decided to get married in Lake Maggiore as the bride comes from this area (but she lives between Italy and the UK). She is an opera singer and she really wanted to have a classical wedding with a lot of classical music for their guests but with a different twist. So they set everything up on a boat.
Richard has a real passion for photography and he really wanted a great sunset portrayed in their wedding photos.
Beach wedding, Ecuador
For Martha and Luis there was no other option; they are both beach lovers. Luis is a surfer and Martha loves life on the beach.
