(Picture: arden_events/HAZAL MEMORIES & LEVLA STUDIOS)Amy Movsisian is an events planner, so any parties she throws are always bound to be something special.
However, the Aussie businesswoman is also a mum, which means she can bring her work into her parenting, and has thrown some amazing parties for her daughter Melina.
Melina recently turned seven, and Amy pulled out all the stops to give her a birthday to remember, spending $20,000 AUD (roughly £10,000) on her carnival themed party.
The bash, which was attended by 80 guests, featured carnival rides and a huge cake, which set Amy back $730 (£372).
Amy’s company, Arden Events, which runs out of Melbourne, has already thrown Melina’s sixth party – themed around ice cream – and decided to go one better thing time around.
Speaking to FEMAIL Magazine, Amy said: ‘After her ice cream-themed sixth birthday we were searching on Instagram for seventh birthday ideas and that’s where she was inspired to have a carnival theme party and rides.
‘It took two months to book a lot of the vendors but everything came together in the last few weeks.’
Apart from the fact that Melina had accidentally spotted a picture of her cake on her mum’s phone in the weeks leading up the party, everything else was a total surprise.
At an Armenian Community Hall near their home, Amy decorated the place to look like something out of any little girl’s dreams, with the balloons alone costing $1,000 (£510).
The 50 adults in attendance were treated to Mediterranean catering, while the 30 little ones had classic carnival foods like hot dogs, nuggets, and chips all served in boxes personalised for Melina.
For dessert, cotton candy and ice cream were served, and there was a candy bar where kids could pick ‘n’ mix their favourites. The multi-tiered cake even had a carousel sitting on top.
In terms of entertainment, Amy hired a ballerina to dance around the venue, and rides like a bouncy castle.
There was also a professional photographer on hand to make sure the day was documented, as well as a videographer.
Amy’s Instagram has been flooded with comments from people admiring the party, with one saying ‘I love this ! Amazing job!!’ and another commenting ‘Loveeee love love every detail’.
It was $8,000 more expensive than Melina’s sixth birthday, which has certainly set a precedent. Who knows what’ll be in store for next year.
