What makes a Big Mac so good? At the end of the day – it is just two burgers sandwiched together.
Well, some might say it’s all down to the secret recipe special sauce.
For years, people have been trying to replicate the blend of relish, mustard, onion and garlic.
The good news for fans is that from next month, you will be able to buy individual pots of the stuff in the UK.
From 12 February, you’ll be able to dip your chips, nuggets, carrot sticks and anything else you want into the little pots.
The bad news is that they are limited edition so you better be quick. Once they are sold out, that’s it.
The 50ml pots will retail for 50p each but they will only have a seven-day shelf life, so probably not an idea to buy too many as they will expire in a week.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: ‘A limited run of the pots will go on sale and is expected to quickly sell-out with restaurant staff prepped for bulk orders and big queues.’
The sauce was available in tubs for a short time in Australia back in 2015, but this is the first time they’ve been on sale in the UK.
The last time it was available in the UK was back in 2016, when a bottle of the stuff was for sale on eBay.
It was auctioned by the brand to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
But it eventually sold for over £65,000, so 50p for an individual pot seems like pretty good value.
