You no longer need to grow out your foot hair or survive on a diet of lembas, because there’s an Airbnb that will help you live out your hobbit dreams.
A Lord Of The Rings-inspired hobbit hole is currently available to rent in Donegal, Ireland for just £75 a night.
You could go all the way to New Zealand, the land of the long white cloud, and check out Hobbiton, but you won’t actually get to spend the night.
For that, you can hop on over to the scenic Donegal mountains, where the ‘Cropod’ is located.
Even if you aren’t hobbit-sized, you’ll still be comfortable within the Airbnb rental, which features full-sized furniture. The space is also equipped with hot water, heating, a kitchen, fridge and a TV.
Self-check-in is also conveniently available, with the property having its own lockbox.
‘An amazing contemporary mountain pod inspired by Irish archaeology and under new ownership, this bespoke ‘one-off’ retreat is a perfect ‘minimoon’/Honeymoon destination in a wilderness landscape,’ the listing reads.
The accommodation has won multiple awards over the years, most recently being named Best Place by The Sea by The Irish Times.
The nearby village, which features a beach, museum, and pubs, is just 15 minutes away.
Previous guests have praised the Cropod’s gorgeous surrounds.
‘Waking up to the view of the lough from the pod was breathtaking,’ wrote one guest.
‘If you’re looking to reconnect with nature/the universe/yourself – the cropod could not be more idyllic. The views were breathtaking and the pod is cosier and comfier than you can ever imagine,’ wrote another.
You can book your Middle Earth stay through Airbnb.
