Ever find yourself on Christmas morning desperately looking for batteries or the star-shaped screwdriver?

When your kids open all their presents, they’re usually keen to start playing – but sometimes they end up a little disappointed beause you don’t have the things at hand to get the toy working.

One parent shared their Christmas morning box on Facebook and parents are loving it.

The box simply contains all the things you need for the present opening to make it a little less chaotic.

The poster suggests different sizes of batteries, screwdrivers, scissors and bin bags.

It means you can cut open, unscrew and power up all the toys and then throw everything in a bin bag.

After the post started circulating on social media, other parents suggested a few other things to add.

Aimee Jennings shared her idea on Facebook and she suggested adding pen and paper so you can note down who bought which presents, and some sandwich bags to keep any tiny parts in and stop them getting lost.

Christmas morning box, everything you need for the morning, bin bags, batteries, pen and paper (to note who things are from), scissors, mini screwdrivers and little bags for small parts. All in a little box so you aren’t running round like mad trying to find things and watch the kids.’

Other mums and dads suggested opening gifts and removing ties and adding batteries before they are wrapped but if that’s not possible, or if you’ve already done all your wrapping, having your box of Christmas morning essentials on hand could be a big help.
