When Wetherspoon’s introduced their table-service app, broke folks rejoiced. Hurrah, at last, their wealthier pals could send them free food and drinks with the touch of a button… or troll them with a glass of milk and some peas.
Now you can enjoy (hopefully free) Big Macs, cheeseburgers, McFlurries and more, thanks to the latest feature on the McDonald’s app.
Maccy’s now has a table-service option that lets customers order straight to their table without the taxing effort of getting up.
Each table is numbered, meaning you can tweet out the number or put it in your Instagram Story, asking (begging) your nearest and dearest to send you a cheeky box of nuggets.
Or your friends could be absolute trolls and send you endless bags of fruit. Be warned.
Never forget that the primary use of the ‘Spoons app is light trolling.
In case you’re not convinced enough to rush to the App or Google Store then let world-famous celebrity magician Julius Dein and Love Island’s Alex and Olivia do the trick.
Launching this December across restaurants nationwide, the My McDonald’s App lets you beat the queues – just walk-in, sit down and order your food directly to your table through your phone.
Magician Julius showed off the feature to Alex Bowen and Olivia Bowen Buckland and football YouTube sensation Emmanuel John Brown as they ‘unsuspectedly’ sat down to enjoy their meals.
Just like the stars in the ad, anyone can customise their meal as the My McDonald’s App will cater to all requests
So go ham on the pickles (or not), drench it in tartare sauce, or go sans tomato.
Ben Fox, marketing director of the high street fave also had some words to sell it to you.
He said: ‘The My McDonald’s App is an increasingly popular tool for hundreds of thousands of savvy customers, giving them more control over their McDonald’s experience.
‘We recently added table numbers to every table in our restaurants, meaning you can find a seat, order through the app and have your favourite food delivered directly to your table, perfect for families especially at this busy time of year.
‘With the ability to customise orders, remember favourites and find your nearest restaurant and with the occasional offer thrown in for good measure, the My McDonald’s App offers a range of perks with a just a touch of magic.’
One of those perks is a free cheeseburger for first-time users.
All you have to do now is download the app (available on Apple and Android devices) and wait patiently for the first time you see that magical number on a Story somewhere.
Get sending.
