Seven best friends – Paige, Aida, Jamie, Lindsay, Lauren, Auburn, and Heather – are bringing the ultimate squad goals to Halloween.
By now, you might know the girl gang who dresses as an iconic actor each Halloween.
Each year they choose one star who’s had multiple famous roles and go forth and dress up.
And while it’s a minefield for most millennials to organise one night out, these friends have managed to do it each year for eight years.
Well, there was one time in 2017 where they couldn’t commit but they’ve managed to nail it every other year.
Their latest get-up is Ben Stiller and some of the shout-outs to his characters are from the likes of Starsky and Hutch, Dodgeball, and of course Zoolander.
In previous years, they’ve covered Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Will Ferrel and more.
So how is it possible to nail each costume without any clashes and how do they settle on an actor?
We spoke to the pals to find out.
‘We have a spreadsheet that calculates who picked first the year prior, who picked last so that it’s fair.’ explained Heather who went as Ben Stiller’s character in Happy Gilmore this year.
‘However, everyone ends up with the character they want, and really leans into the details.
‘The best part is when we’re getting ready and one of us walks in with full costume, we all bust up laughing. There’s a lot of fake facial hair involved.’
Jamie, who went as Zoolander added: ‘Through cross-country moves (we live in four different cities), marriages, pregnancies (Lauren was eight+ months pregnant here!!), and just life, we make time for this absolutely ridiculous group costume tradition every year.
‘I love these women SO MUCH,’ she added.
